Surprise Your Sweetheart with Homemade Truffles this Valentines Day
Nothing says “I love you” like chocolate on Valentine’s Day. The dark luxurious taste has long been associated with passion, romance and love. For those looking for a more personal touch, why not surprise your sweetheart with a gift of homemade chocolate truffles? Taste of Chocolate, a Boston-based company enamored with chocolate, is holding a series of Chocolate Workshops, designed as a hands-on introduction to the wonderful world of Chocolate-making.
Perfect for the individual looking for an opportunity to roll up their sleeves and jump in, these hands-on workshops will show participants how to make homemade chocolates. Each participant will leave with 30-50 mouth-watering chocolate truffles they personally made, enough to impress all their friends!
Taught by expert Taste of Chocolate chocolatiers, the workshops begin with an overview of the history of chocolate, including the different types of chocolate available today. Students will learn how to make their own chocolates, roll their own truffles and dip them in a variety of toppings. Covered in the course are piping, shaping, coating and packaging – everything you need to create brilliant chocolates.
Taste of Chocolate Workshops are perfect for friends looking for a fun hands-on activity or colleagues looking for a unique team building exercise or group outing. For those who prefer to be on the receiving end of the chocolates, Taste of Chocolate offers a “golden ticket” gift certificate for the workshops.
Taste of Chocolate Workshops are held every Saturday at 1pm in the private dining room of the Elephant & Castle Restaurant, 161 Devonshire Street, in Boston. The cost of the workshop is $88. Reservations are necessary and can be made at
